Cup O’ Flowers

DSC01419I did a class at church  and this is one of the cards that we made. I used the Sell A Bration DSP. The stamp is from Fun and Fast Notes, and the Thinking of You is a retired stamp from the Three for You Punch Box. I stamped the cup of flowers on Whisper White, backed with a  piece of  Certainly Celery. I colored the flowers  with Certainly Celery, So Saffron, and Pretty in Pink markers.  For the cup I used paper piecing with some of the Celery paper from the same paper pack. I used some cute little rhinestones for the center of the flowers; Then I used some Diamond Stickles for the bling on the cup.  I also used the Eyelet Border Punch for the bottom. Last but not least I used So Saffron Grosgrain Ribbon for the bow.

Enjoy! Happy Stampin’!

Father’s Day Cards

I know it is after the fact, but that seems to be how I do things… I made these Father’s Day cards the day of for my Husband, Dad, and Father in Law. Why you ask… Well I am a procratinator and I thought I would have Friday to at least make my husbands, and well Thursday night the man came home from basketball needing a trip the the ER.  19 stiches to hold his upper lip on later we came home, he was unable to work the next day and he spent the weekend on the couch watching golf.  I had to wake up early in the AM to make his card! Couldn’t get away from him. Poor man, he looks terrible.

DSC01430This first card I made for my Father in Law. He is very patriotic. I used an old SU set called Land That I Love. I watercolored the image on watercolor paper. It is then layered with Real Red and Naturals Ivory CS, the Happy Father’s Day is from All Holidays stamped in Night of Navy on Naturals Ivory CS also layered with Real Red and Naturals Ivory. The base of the card is NI. and the layers are Night of Navy and Real Red. I also added some white buttons.

DSC01431This next card was for my husband the lover of all sports. Not sure what the little spots are by the buttons because they dont’ show up on the card itself…glue maybe??

Card base is Old Olive, Layers are Close to Cocoa, Night of Navy and Very Vanilla. Image is from another old SU set, I don’t know the name because I only have this stamp. Sorry. Wish they would bring it back though, I could use the whole set! I colored the golf image with Stampin’ Up markers in Close to Cocoa, and Going Gray. Sentiment is from All Holidays ( Only Father’s Day stamp I own) stamped in Night of Navy .I used Old Olive Ribbon, and brown buttons.

DSC01428This last card was for my Dad. The base is Naturals Ivory CS. Layers are Choclate Chip, Always Artichoke, Close to Cocoa and Old Olive. The image is from the set Backwoods. I wanted it a little bigger so I actually stamped it and then enlarged it a little onto water color paper.  I then watercolored it with Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Going Gray, Always Artichoke, Old Olive and Basic Black ink. The sentiment is stamped in Always Artichoke, I used a little piece of Hemp for the knot.

Well I am off the great outdoors for a Family Reunion, I will have more when I get back.

Forgot how much fun posting is!

You know I didn’t do this for so long that I forgot it was fun!  Here is another card that I made while I was M.I.A.
Cupcake-Make-a-Wish-WardYes, it is another cupcake card. I needed a birthday card for one of Lily’s little friends and this one was perfect. I used Pink Pirouette CS for the base. Then I used Pumkin Pie CS and Sweet Always DSP for the back layer tied with a piece of Pink Pirouette Striped Ribbon. I also used a strip of Whisper White CS punched out with the eyelet punch. (Love that it looks like lace!) The cupcake is pretty much the same as the last cupcake card I made….I used the cupcake from the set Wagon Full of Fun from the spring mini catalog. It is stamped in Jet Black Stazon colored with a Blender Pen in Pink Pirouette, Pumpkin Pie and Yoyo Yellow Ink. The sentiment is from the set She’s All That.
Well hopefully I will be back tomorrow~

Upsy Daisy Mojo#73

Upsy Daisy Mothers Day CardSorry that the color is a little dark on this one. I am no photo pro.  This card is another Mojo sketch. It is number 73.  I made this card for a Mother’s Day card for my stamp club. I love that it was simple but pretty. I layered Pacific Point Blue and Basic Black.  I stamped the Upsy Daisy stamp in Basic Black craft ink onto whisper White CS. I used Heat and Stick Powder and Dazzling Diamonds to make the flowers extra blingy. Then I punched a slit in the white and black layers with the slit punch, and used some pretty silver ribbon and a black button with a rhinestone glued to it to make it pretty. The inside is stamped with a Happy Mother’s Day stamp.

Mojo Monday #81 Cupcakes

Birthday Flower Cupcake
For this card I used MojoMonday sketch #81. The card base is Regal Rose, I used Sweet Always DSP for the two layers. I used the cupcake from Wagon Full of Fun stamped in Jet Black Stazon colored in with a blender pen and Pink Pirouette, Pumpkin Pie, and Yoyo Yellow inks, the flower is from Always stamped in Regal Rose with a rhinestone in the middle, and the happy birthday is from the set Pretty Princess stamped in Jet Black Stazon with the flower colored Regal Rose with a blender pen, those layers are backed in Pink Pirouette, Pumpkin Pie, and Chocolate Chip CS. I used Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon for the bow, then last of all I added the three little circles at the bottom that are just paper punched out with a hole punch.
Enjoy!

Then I Stamped the image from Party Hearty in Basic Black on Whisper White CS also cut 2×2 and mounted it on a piece of basic black cut 2 1/4 x 2 1/4. I then stamped the little present in Real Red and cut it out and popped it up with a dimensional. …see easy card.

October Stamp Club

I LOVE fall. It is my FAVORITE time of year. Living in Arizona you really get excited when the weather is in the high 80’s and not the 100’s!! We break out our pants! I have NO tan at all all summer long,  I really hate to be hot, so now that the weather is nice I can go out and plant flowers, play in the park with the kids and even walk them to school. That said, I am totally in the mood to make fall cards. That is just what we did this month.

Here are the cards

The first card is inspired by this card here. I loved that she made it so simple! It really is just paper and ink. No embellishments or added layers!

Stamps: Inspired By Nature, All Holidays, Paper: Very Vanilla CS, Vanilla Envelope, INK: Old Olive, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Tools: Sponge Daubers, Stampin’ Write Markers

The next card is one that I made in a stamp club with Wendy Janson a couple of years ago. It is a favorite of mine!

The last card is one that I made to show the girls how to use a sketch to make a card. I don’t know what I would do without those sketches. They really help you pump the ideas out. I have used sketch 194 several times over the last couple of weeks. It is one of my favorites!

STAMPS: Season Of Friendship, PAPER:  Natural White Whisper White CS, Chocolate Chip, Green Stripe and Orange dots from Ghostly Greeting DS Paper, Ruby red, Brown Print from Windsor Knot DS Paper, INK: Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, TOOLS: Paper Piercing Tool, Mat Pack, Scallop Edge Punch, EMBELLISHMENTS: 3/8 Grosgrain ribbon in Chocolate Chip

It was a Happy Birthday

Last Monday was my Birthday! It was a GREAT Day! Filled with lots of phone calls from friends and Family followed by a wonderful dinner that I did not have to cook with my parents, husband and children. Who can ask for more??  I received these cute cards! The first one is from my 6 year old daughter Lily. She loves to craft! And I would have to say that for a 6 year old she is pretty good!

The inside is my favorite part!

The next card is from my Mom.

Lorri Heiling

Ginny Shembri

Kristy Nakamura…Yes Kristy, I spelled you name wrong on the card! SORRY!! Can I blame old age??

Wendy Janson
