You Mean Everything To Me!

I made this card today for a friend of mine. Her Anniversary is on Sunday. I started with one idea in mind and went with a totally different idea all together. All I knew was that she wanted me to use this heart. I had some cut paper left over from my stamp club, and this is what I ended up with. I really like it!

SC171 Another Priceless!

I really liked the sketch challenge today on Splitcoast. I already had my CM Cutting system out from yesterday so I though I would give it a try. I used some retired Designer SU! paper Brocade Backgrounds. This was an easy card for me to make. I was done in about 30 minutes…(because that is how long it takes to use decorative scissors, and cut out the butterflies!) It is kind of hard to see the color well, but the butterflies are stamped in Cameo Coral.

TLC163, One Wild Birthday Card!

Today is my BFF’s birthday…HAPPY BIRTHDAY RHONDA!! I hope she had a GREAT day!! Here is the card I made for her. Hope she like’s it!!

This is a case of Nancy Riley’s card that she made for our last weSTAMP swap. I really love these little purse cards! They are really fun to make. I used some Creative Memories paper for the animal print. I also used the CM cutting system to make the ovals since I didn’t have a punch like Nancy did. Not much on this card is SU!. Only the black CS and the punch I used to make the purses….oh, and the sentiment!!

CC160 Yep! 2 challenges in one week!!

I have wanted to do more of the challenges that they have on splitcoast, but for some reason or another, I never get the chance to. Well this week I have been working harder at it. I am also looking for some ideas for my upcoming club…

I chose this stamp because I have NEVER used it! I also challenged myself a little more by NOT looking in the gallery for ideas. There are so many and I wanted to make myself come up with my own idea. (supposed to be good for ones brain…to think for one’s self…) I made this card 51/2×51/2 to fit the whole flower. I don’t know where to find an envelope, but oh well, I’ll figure that out when I need to use it! I did the dry embossing with my crop a dile and the mat pack. I colored the flower itself with watercolor crayons, and then I went back with my aqua painter and the ink pad to add the outlining. I think these two colors look pretty together. I wasn’t as happy with them when I was adding the CS. The cameo coral is just so bright. Not my favorite. Overall, I would like to change the layout just a bit, but I am not sure how. I also would have liked to have added a sentiment, but there just wasn’t room. That flower is just so BLOOMIN’ large!

This was fun, I look forward to next weeks!! I need a challenge to get me away from doing the same thing all the time!

WT160 Challenge

Well this is a little bit of a cheater for the challenge, but I hadn’t posted it yet, so I am gonna count it! I made this little gift bag for the door prize at our last weSTAMP meeting. I forgot to take a picture of the bracelet that went inside of it. It was pretty and it matched the bag with blue freshwater pearls and crystals. Oh well!

This bag was my FIRST attempt at rub-ons. I have been a scrapbooker stamper for YEARS and I never use them. I am always pressured by the fact that if you mess them up they are gone. So I went out on a limb here. I did pretty good but I did goof up the lettering so I just got out my white gel pen and added some dots to the letters. Looks good to me! I also added a little bling to the flowers with some rhinestones I picked up at Michaels.

I will be using Rub-Ons more often!! I LOVE THEM!!

Enjoy!!

So Very

I made this card for my husband when he was going away on a trip a couple of months ago. I needed something more manly, and all I had was flowers and cutesy stuff, so I pulled out my So Very set. I loved that it was so simple to make.

Hope you like it!
