Convention Challenge

DSC01869(rev 0) DSC01872(rev 0)

At Convention Barbara Welch, Linda Rodenberg and I were asked to create a card using the stamp set Under The Stars. We had to use the supplies available and we had a limited time…we even had to put the stamp set together in that amount of time… This is what I made. It is a little pocket card. For the record, I would have colored in the Bear, but there were no Aqua Painters or Blender Pens out there, only Markers, and not the right colors. LOL. I would have made it a little different at home. But, I did get to keep the stamp set! :)

Recipe: STAMPS: Under the Stars, Family Phrases

PAPER: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Taken With Teal, Creamy Caramel, Storybook Specialty DSP

INK: Soft Suede, Basic Black

Embellishments: Kraft Taffeta Ribbon, Silver Brads, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Enjoy!

When I went to Convention, I got to take my kids along too. They had a little vacation with Aunt Laura, Uncle Ken and Cousin Chelsey.  It was a blast for them! They are so fun to be around. I am so thankful that they spent the week with the kids.

Friday was Aunt Laura’s birthday so this is what the kids and I put together for her. I was inspired by this one here. There is also a great tutorial on splitcoast for it too!

I had the kids write down why they loved her and then I added some pictures to it. I like how it came out!

Upsy Daisy Mojo#73

Upsy Daisy Mothers Day CardSorry that the color is a little dark on this one. I am no photo pro.  This card is another Mojo sketch. It is number 73.  I made this card for a Mother’s Day card for my stamp club. I love that it was simple but pretty. I layered Pacific Point Blue and Basic Black.  I stamped the Upsy Daisy stamp in Basic Black craft ink onto whisper White CS. I used Heat and Stick Powder and Dazzling Diamonds to make the flowers extra blingy. Then I punched a slit in the white and black layers with the slit punch, and used some pretty silver ribbon and a black button with a rhinestone glued to it to make it pretty. The inside is stamped with a Happy Mother’s Day stamp.

Mojo Monday #81 Cupcakes

Birthday Flower Cupcake
For this card I used MojoMonday sketch #81. The card base is Regal Rose, I used Sweet Always DSP for the two layers. I used the cupcake from Wagon Full of Fun stamped in Jet Black Stazon colored in with a blender pen and Pink Pirouette, Pumpkin Pie, and Yoyo Yellow inks, the flower is from Always stamped in Regal Rose with a rhinestone in the middle, and the happy birthday is from the set Pretty Princess stamped in Jet Black Stazon with the flower colored Regal Rose with a blender pen, those layers are backed in Pink Pirouette, Pumpkin Pie, and Chocolate Chip CS. I used Pumpkin Pie grosgrain ribbon for the bow, then last of all I added the three little circles at the bottom that are just paper punched out with a hole punch.
Enjoy!

Easy Guy Card

Hello!

I am going through all the files on my computer and there are SO MANY cards that have not been posted! I have to catch up!

B-is-for-birthday-Boy-CardThis first card is a simple birthday card that I made for my nephew. I never know what to make for a boy…Anyways.

I used Basic Black CS cut 4 1/4 x4 1/4 square. Then I used  Patterns Pack DSP  in Basic Gray. I cut them all 2×2 and just lined them up. Then I Stamped the image from Party Hearty in Basic Black on Whisper White CS also cut 2×2 and mounted it on a piece of basic black cut 2 1/4 x 2 1/4. I then stamped the little present in Real Red and cut it out and popped it up with a dimensional. …see easy card.

Be back with more soon!

Card #3

This is the third card that we made. I really like this one too. I had a different card planned and cut for, but it was too much work doing that many cards at once, so i just turned over my DS paper and this is what I came up with. I don’t know why the picture makes the bow look crooked, it really isn’t. Sorry!

Recipe: STAMPS: Snow Swirled, All Holidays, PAPER: Old Olive, Very Vanilla, Holiday Treasures DS Paper, INK: Old Olive, Real Red, EMBELLISHMENTS: Red Rhinestones, Red sparkled ribbon (found at Michael’s)

Enjoy!

Filled with lots of phone calls from friends and Family followed by a wonderful dinner that I did not have to cook with my parents, husband and children. The inside is my favorite part!

The next card is from my Mom.

Lorri Heiling

Ginny Shembri

Kristy Nakamura…Yes Kristy, I spelled you name wrong on the card! SORRY!! Can I blame old age??
