Valentine’s Day Projects

valentines-day-blog.jpg

I love Valentine’s Day! I love all the happiness that goes along with it. Yep, even the work! Ha! It is fun now that Lily is in school I woke her up and dressed her in a red shirt with a red bow…cute shoes, the works! Jake doesn’t seem to care, he did wear a red shirt for me. I hear people say they don’t care about this day, but I think that is sad. IT IS ABOUT LOVE!! It isn’t one persons birthday, it isn’t Christmas, it is just a day about showing people that you love them. It is two sided, I love it! I love that my husband gets me too! We got a baby-sitter and joined the rest of the fifty million people out there waiting to go out to dinner! It was a long wait, but it was worth it. I was out with my honey…and no kids!

Anyways, enough of the mush and onto the goods! 🙂 I made these for my kids teachers, and my Visiting Teaching ladies from church. It was fun! I got the idea for the mailboxes from Nancy Riley you can check out hers here. They are so cute! The bucket I came up with all on my own. I found the buck at Walmart, and I just added ribbon and a tag to it. EASY! The valentine is just another excuse for me to do the sparkly background on something. I also wanted to use the new hostess set so I came up with the candy bag. Incase you were wondering; no I did not do these for my children’s classrooms. Too much time and they would end up in the trash. My kids would rather have the cartoon ones from the store! Strange! They don’t know what is really good! 🙂

CUTE CUTE CUTE. I love all of this stuff… but I loved being the recipient of a mailbox even more. Although the chocolate is no longer in existence… go figure. 🙂
