I kept meaning to post April’s weSTAMP meeting cards, but before I knew it…it is time to post May’s!! I am a little behind in posting, so you will be getting a few from me.

This month our meeting was at Nancy’s house. It was another fabulous meeting. Adrianna was in charge of the make n take, and she came up with this super cute card. We all got to test our skills using the wheel. It was fun to make. I love the stickles. They really make it pretty!

Happy Mother’s Day!

Happy Mother’s Day!! To all you Mom’s out there!

 5-9-08

I love Mother’s Day! I love the little things that my kids make me at school. Yesterday on the way home from school Lily asked me if she could clean out her backpack all by herself…I said,”Lily, you dump that thing yourself everyday…” she was quiet, then as we were getting out of the van she said, ” I have to be real careful mom, I don’t want to squish my backpack..” She is grinning from ear to ear. I had to tell her not to tell me cuz I think she was about to burst! I just love it! Then last night when she was getting ready for bed she comes creeping out of her bedroom with her hands behind her back and the biggest smile on her face….”Happy Mother’s Day Mom.” I sadly had to tell her that it isn’t till Sunday. She ran back to her room real quick without showing me her treasure, and pretended she never said it! Too Cute! I can’t wait to see what she made. She is my little one that dots her letters to make them fancy! I have high hopes for this crafty little girl!

My youngest son, Ben has been telling me “Happy Mother’s Day” for weeks now. The funny thing is that he says Mother’s Day is for his grandpa. Hum….I tried to explain that I was the Mother and he just smiles and says it’s Grandpa’s Mother’s Day. maybe next year, he is only 2.

My oldest treats me like every day is Mother’s Day. He is so sweet! Can’t wait to hear the children sing on Sunday at church. It is the BEST!

Well on to the Mother’s Day card…

We made these cards for my Stamp Club. They were fun to make! I love this punch. I was inspired by Nancy Riley’s purse card here…I just changed it a little.

Recipe: Stamps: All Holidays, Ink:Night of Navy, Paper: Night of Navy, Real Red, Very Vanilla, Cerise DS paper (retired) Extras: Tab Punch, mini square punch (mine is a creative memories punch)  Gold Brads, Gold wired (from Michaels)

5-11-08 Continued…

Today was GREAT!! I love to hear them sing. Always brings a tear to my eye! Though it would have been better if I could have seen Lily! Her little friend Gracie was leaning over the edge of the stand singing away, and Lily was hidden behind her. Next time I will sit on the other side of the Chapel… Next year Ben gets to sing too!!

Lily’s present to me was a little picture frame that she made herself and  a picture she drew inside it.  She was so proud!! Then my husband got me something that he thought was funny…but I am sooo excited about! A Ped Egg! I have some smooth feet now!! Greatest gift ever! Love that guy. At least he was paying attention…some times we don’t need diamonds…just something practical that we won’t buy for ourself…even if it only costs $10.00! Ladies, if you don’t have one…get one!

Hope your day was great!!

Happy Birthday Mom!

April wass a BIG month for birthdays in my family. My Mom had a milestone birthday this week too! I can’t say which one, because that makes me seem old too! She isn’t old, she has more energy than I do most days! She is so amazing I don’t know what I would ever do without her. She has taught me so much. She is the most practical woman I know! I also don’t know how she raised 6 kids…I am having trouble with 3!

We had a little party for her to celebrate. It was the first time that we were able to all go out to dinner without children…in 11 years! It was really nice to have adult conversation and not be distracted. We also had GREAT dessert…fried ice cream. I got a wonderful picture of my mom licking the fudge off the plate…but I can’t post it. She would KILL me. Here is the card that I made for her. I used my new stamp set Summer by the Sea. LOVE THIS ONE! I like to water color. I love the softness of it.

Recipe: Stamps: Summer by the Sea,Sincere Salutations, Ink: Jet Black Stazon, Rose Red, Yo Yo Yelloe, Close to Cocoa, Blush Blossoms, Bordering Blue, Creamy Caramel, Lovly Lilac, Garden Green Markers Paper: Rose Red, Bordering Blue, Yo Yo Yellow, Whisper White CS Tools:Ticket Punch, Aqua Painters

We also Celebrated my oldest brothers birthday too.  I gave him this card that Kristy made…it was perfect for a 40th! His birthday is today May 5th! He always says he isn’t celebrating his birthday…he is celebrating Cinco De Mayo. Happy Birthday Scott!

Happy Birthday Ali and Spencer!

OK, I am a little late posting this…

I don’t know if I ever mentioned this, but I am one of 6 children. I have 4 brothers and 1 sister. I am number 4 and three of my brothers are older….I was almost 6 years old when my sister was born. BOY WAS I GLAD SHE WAS A GIRL! I waited my whole life for her to grow up and be my friend too.  Lorie is one of my most favorite people in the whole wide world. I would do anything for her.  A year ago she gave birth for the first time….to TWINS! Alizabeth and Spencer.  Sunday April 20th was a little milestone for us. Ali and Spencer turned ONE! I can’t believe it has been a year already. I forgot my camera and I am sad because it was so cute.  Lorie is so very talented! She made the twins matching onzies with Dr. Seuss’ Thing 1 and Thing 2.  She painted them. I will have to dig for a picture to share with you guys.

I had a lot of fun doing these little cards for them.  Lorie always has them dressed so cute.  I thought these were apropriate. I tweeked the onzie card and made them into clothes.
