More Halloween Stuff!

Here are the other projects that we made at my workshop. I am loving this stamp set, and the paper pack! The paper is one that I didn’t think I would like, but I love it now! I like that they used the Cherry Cobbler in it. Not your typical orange and black Halloween paper.

Halloween’s a comin’!

I love Halloween…not because of all the scary stuff, but because it means it is really gonna cool off in Arizona! :)… and I’m not gonna lie…I LOVE THE CHOCOLATE! 🙂

This is a card that we made at my workshop this month. I really like it! I have seen several different ones sort of like it, I just put my own spin on it.

Window sheet web

I embossed the acetate with the Spider Web Embossing folder. I had a really hard time making the acetate stick to the cardstock without seeing the adhesive. (so if anyone has a secret…please share!) Here is the recipe for the rest of the card. Enjoy!

Sweet Baby T’s

Haven’t posted in a long time, and there are lots of cards piling up in my photo files! Here is one I did recently for a baby shower. I had fun making it. It was one of those that you start out with a simple idea and it takes on a mind of its own. I did masking and sponging for the background. For the Sun, I used a scrap of paper that I had punched out a daisy. I thought it would be pretty sun rays. and I just hand cut a template for the clouds.

She’s All That

DSC02537

I received a really cute card from my friend Barbara a while back that looked a little like this one. I loved it so much I have made it tons of times! This is one of my favorites. I used Ballet  Blue for the base. Pretty in Pink is the next layer, followed by Pawsitively Prints DSP. Images are stamped on Whisper White.  She Birthday girl and sentiments are from the retired set She’s All That. Sure miss that set! The ribbon is Ribbon Originals Mistletoe. There is also a cute little Pretty in Pink flower button. What you can’t see in the picture is that the girls dress and bow…and cake are covered in Dazzling Diamonds. Very blingy! Just like my niece loves!

Enjoy!

Birthday Cards

I needed some birthday cards so I pulled out an old sketch that I LOVED. . I used Mojo sketch 81. You can see my original card here. I just changed the colors.

DSC02841

I used Kiwi Kiss for the base, and Bella Rose DSP for the 2 layers. Then I used Chocolate Chip punched out with the Scallop Circle Punch, layered with Riding Hood Red 1 3/8 circle with a Kiwi Kiss flower from the Vintage Vogue set. The cupcake is from the Wagon Full of Fun set. (retired) water colored with Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Yo Yo Yellow, and Chocolate Chip. The Happy Birthday is from the Pretty Princess set (retired).  The ribbon is Mistletoe Ribbon Originals.

This one is the same sketch, again different colors. I used Chocolate Chip as a background. The DSP is a retired Simply Scrappin’ kit Summer Home. Card Stocks used are Old Olive and Baja Breeze. I water colored everything the same as the other cards. The flower is from the Sweet Always set.

Enjoy!

Father’s Day Class

Last week I did a Father’s Day class. These are the projects that we made. Thank Heavens for Lorri Heiling, because she sure helped me get it together! I showed up at her house to borrow a stamp and left with GREAT ideas! She is wonderful!!

DSC02838This first project is the cute little Tool Box. It is Lorri’s tutorial, and if you are interested, click here to order it. I love it! So did the ladies in my class. For it, I used, Soft Suede CS, Natural Ivory CS, Woodgrain Background stamp, and Totally Tools. It is colored with Basic Black and More Mustard ink. Then just some silver brads.

DSC02844

Next is another one that I CASED from Lorri. I used Handsome Hunter for the background, More Mustard, Basic Black, and Whisper White CS…then TIN FOIL put through the sizzix machine for the background. Stamps are Totally Tools. The ribbon is some cute ribbon I picked up.

 DSC02850

The Third is a Shirt Card. I found it at ustamp4fun.com. She has such great ideas! I used Blue Bayou, and a Blue Bayou DSP that I can’t remember the name of…I think Jersey?? Silver Brads too. Simple.

DSC02847

The last card was a CASE of one of my  up line Wendy Janson’s cards.  She always has such great cards. I miss stamping with her! For this card I used all retired stuff. I bought it long before I cared what it was all called, so I really can’t tell you the colors….except Cranberry Crisp!  I used Soft Suede for the ink on the B. The Stamp set is Party Hearty. You can see Wendy’s Card here.

Convention Challenge

DSC01869(rev 0) DSC01872(rev 0)

At Convention Barbara Welch, Linda Rodenberg and I were asked to create a card using the stamp set Under The Stars. We had to use the supplies available and we had a limited time…we even had to put the stamp set together in that amount of time… This is what I made. It is a little pocket card. For the record, I would have colored in the Bear, but there were no Aqua Painters or Blender Pens out there, only Markers, and not the right colors. LOL. I would have made it a little different at home. But, I did get to keep the stamp set! 🙂

Recipe: STAMPS: Under the Stars, Family Phrases

PAPER: Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, Taken With Teal, Creamy Caramel, Storybook Specialty DSP

INK: Soft Suede, Basic Black

Embellishments: Kraft Taffeta Ribbon, Silver Brads, Stampin’ Dimensionals

Enjoy!
